From the Crossville Chronicle:
A Roane County woman tried to pass off a Sharpie marker hidden in her pocket as a gun in an unsuccessful robbery of a Cumberland County convenience store. The woman allegedly demanded money from the clerk, pointing the pen from inside her pocket to imitate a gun barrel.
The clerk denied she had any money, and after a short struggle the woman fled and dropped the marker.
The woman was later arrested and charged with attempted aggravated armed robbery. (Armed being the marker – and aggravated being that it was probably permanent ink. )
