We're More Likely To Contract Malaria

Most of the news outlets are carrying the same story: Weather Service Issues A Winter Storm Watch; Cold, Wind In Forecast.

For New Year’s Day, the weather service predicted a 20 percent chance of snow showers, along with cloudy skies and a high temperature near 38 degrees. For Tuesday night, a 40 percent chance of snow showers exists, with cloudy skies and a low temperature around 19 degrees. For Wednesday, a 30 percent chance of snow showers was predicted before 1 p.m.
On Wednesday night, skies are predicted to be mostly cloudy, with a low around 14 degrees.

David Hotz, a weather service meteorologist in Morristown advises, “If you can stay inside, that’s the best thing to do.”

Low temperatures and combined with high winds, could create conditions in which those who are outdoors with unprotected skin could suffer frostbite. He also noted that members of the public also should take precautions to protect their pets and livestock from the low temperatures and high winds that are expected on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
