Students Give Up Christmas Money To Help Farmers With Drought Relief

Two students in Nick Baumann’s second-grade class, Sharnita Britt, 8, and Jacob Turner, 7, represented their classmates in a ceremony Friday at Mosheim Elementary School.  Seven classes of students at MES have donated their Christmas gift exchange money, as well as some allowance money, to help Greene County farmers get much-needed hay for their cattle and horses. A total of $318.42 was collected and given to the Greene County Drought Task Force to pay for the transportation of hay to local farmers.
