The Rogersville Playhouse proudly presents Stephen Sondheim’s musical
“Company.” This Tony-award winning musical will kick off the Rogersville Playhouse’s 2007 Season.
Set in New York, “Company” traces the relationships of Robert, a 35 year old confirmed bachelor and his mostly married friends. The action takes place on
his 35th birthday and like an episode of “The Twilight Zone,” it all takes place in an instant. Each musical number is a scene. Presented in a series of vignettes, they shadow Robert’s trials and triumphs on the road to understanding what being alive is really about. “Company” made Broadway history in 1970 with its’ nonlinear structure, in which the story was told through a series of episodes rather than within a strictly narrative plot structure.
Performances are scheduled for February 2, 3, 9 & 10 at 8:00p.m. and February 11
at 2:00p.m. at the Rogersville Playhouse, located in the upstairs of the American Legion Building at 1924 East Main Street. For reservations or more information, please call the Rogersville Playhouse at 423-921-0027. (BREAK A LEG, DANNY!)
