Revisit the 50’s
May 12, 2008 by demarcationville
Jeff Bobo with the Times-News reports that Otis and Kathy (Eldridge) are gearing up for the May 24th Memory Lane Car Show.

If you’ve any interest in the 1950’s, I recommend you head out to Caney Creek where Otis’ has recreated the era - complete with a Texaco station, diner, general store, blacksmith shop, train depot, church, garage and car dealership.
There is no admission fee.
Wear comfortable shoes, dress appropriately, and avoid all tents near the entrance where there are balloons and/or giveaways of something cheap but free as these are usually manned by vote-soliciting politicians.
Memory Lane participants are also invited to explore downtown Rogersville on Friday, May 23rd.
There will be reserved parking for Memory Lane participants (pre-1980) on Main street - and a concert and barbecue dinner for $8 held at Crockett Springs Park from 5-9 pm. (Rough Edges will be appearing at 7:00p.m.)
For more information, you can check the Random Rods website - and I’ll see you there.
