Ex-mail carrier won’t face federal charges

Church Hill mail carrier Carolyn Elise Derrick received a suspended six month jail sentences and was ordered to pay restitution for stealing a $100 gift card from a letter she delivered prior to Christmas.

Bad Cantaloupes Found in Tennessee

Eyewitness News reports people in Tennessee and fifteen other states have sick from eating cantaloupe.

A salmonella outbreak has been linked to cantaloupes from a manufacturer in Honduras. So far, fifty people in sixteen states, including tennessee, have gotten sick from the melons. Fourteen people are fighting the illness in hospitals.
