When Joshua Hunter Cumbow appeared to be tipsy at school on Thursday afternoon, Volunteer High School officials searched his pockets.
According to the Times-News story, found in his pockets were seven marijuana “joints” as well as a pipe, two small empty bottles of Smirnoff vodka, three small unopened bottles of vodka, cigarette rolling papers and $61 in cash. Assistant Principal Adrian Smith then searched the student’s vehicle in the school parking lot, where another 35 marijuana joints and 16 little unopened bottles of vodka were found.
Prinicipal Jim Dykes said: “Anytime you find contraband on school grounds it’s alarming. We suspect that he was (dealing drugs and alcohol).”
