Meningitis: How Concerned Should You Be?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The state Senate has voted to move next month’s sales tax holiday so it won’t fall on Easter weekend.
 The bill would make the new dates for the sale tax holiday April 25 through April 27.  It is currently scheduled for March 21 to March 23.

Hawkins County Schools Closed For Illness

Due to excessive illness, Hawkins County Schools will be closed on Monday, February 25th  and Tuesday, February 26, 2008.  Rogersville City School classes will be on a regular schedule.

Challengers for Vaughn and Mumpower

Tony Shipley, a Colonial Heights Republican, intends to run against 2nd District Rep. Nathan Vaughn, D-Kingsport, in the November election.
