Word is that Lt. Bob Crumley, former helicoper pilot for the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office, has flown the coop. With the Pot-Chopper grounded, Bob is off to regain his wings… playing eye in the sky for an out-of-state news organization.
This comes less than a week after officer Gary Murrell, who headed up the drug task force, was promoted to the post of Hawkins County EMA Director.
Both are veterans of the department. No word yet as to whom their replacements will be.
